Sarah Sacks

Executive Director

A respected professional in the field of mental health and chemical dependency since 1996, Sarah specializes in dual-diagnosis treatment (which combines treating both addiction and co-occurring psychiatric conditions.) Ms. Sacks received her Graduate Degree from Barry University in May of 1997, and she is well-known in the community for her integrity and commitment to her patients. Ms. Sacks is affiliated with the National Association of Social Work, and is a proud member of the National Association of Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Counselors (NAADAC) in which she served as President Elect in 2007.

Dr. Emilio Duboy

Psychiatrist

Emilio Duboy, MD, Psychiatrist, has been a practicing psychiatrist since 1990. Dr. Duboy focuses on treating the overall psychological well-being of patients, including the detection, evaluation, and management of various forms of mental illness and substance abuse. Dr. Duboy has worked in several psychiatric settings, including hospitals and substance abuse treatment programs. Dr. Duboy’s specialties include the treatment of addiction and mood disorders.

Amanda Rutherford

Director of Operations

Ms. Rutherford has over 16 years’ experience in the industry. She is well-versed in the administrative and clinical aspects of this field and gives the best possible service to our clients. Amanda is a Certified Addictions Counselor and currently is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Social Work. Ms. Rutherford also handles our Human Resources with hiring employees and their pre-screen requirements.

Chrissy Cleary

Clinical Coordinator

Ms. Cleary graduated from Nova Southeastern University in the winter of 2002 with a masters in Mental Health Counseling. Chrissy has worked for Transformations for over 11 years and is dedicated to assisting clients with creating healthier life choices and positive outcomes. Ms. Cleary practices yoga and meditation, which she incorporates in her practice with her clients.

MK O'Regan

Family/Primary Therapist

MK O’Regan, MS CAP, Family Therapist, graduated from Biscayne College in 1961 with a Masters in Mental Health Counseling. Ms. O’Regan facilitates the weekly Family Support Program at Transformations Recovery. Previously, she was the Director of Family Services at the Hanley Center in West Palm Beach. Ms. O’Reagan has also ran our Family Support Group and Alumni group here at Transformations Recovery for several years, and is a valuable asset to our team. With her vast knowledge and experience in the community, she is able to take her clinical background and implement it to assist patients in understanding the root of their troubles and help them build a foundation to jump start a healthy recovery.

Thomas Jones

Primary Therapist

Thomas “TJ” Jones is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Florida, a Licensed Professional Counselor and Licensed Substance Abuse Treatment Practitioner in Virginia, and a National Certified Counselor.  He is also a Qualified Supervisor in both Florida.  TJ earned his Master’s Degree in Community and Addictions Counseling from The College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, VA.  He also holds a Master’s Degree in Logistics Management from Florida Institute of Technology and Bachelors of Art from the University of Oklahoma. TJ has worked both inpatient and outpatient treatment programs. He’s worked as a primary therapist for both a Young Adults Program and Professionals Program. In addition, he’s facilitated specialty groups in the areas of family dynamics, nicotine sobriety, relapse prevention, aftercare planning, and groups for active duty military members.  TJ has also provided substance abuse treatment for first time offenders within the criminal justice system.  TJ is a person in long term recovery. TJ was born and raised in Oklahoma.  After graduating college, TJ was commissioned into the United States Army as an Infantry Officer.  He retired from the Army in 2008.  When he is not working TJ is an avid master’s Swimmer and enjoys spending time with his family in Jupiter, FL.

Robert Parkinson

Primary Therapist

Mr. Parkinson has worked in the field of addictions since 1985 when he was employed by Conifer Park, a 100-bed treatment center for drug and alcohol dependency in New York. As senior therapist he was assigned to adolescent care. In 1992 he worked for Phoenix House in New York he helps to bring the Phoenix House Program into the Department of Corrections. It was the first therapeutic community established within the prison system in the state of NY. In 2005, Robert completed his master’s degree in social work at the University of Phoenix. He had also obtained his certification as an addiction’s counselor in 1995 from the state of New York. With an extensive background in both public and private programs, Mr. Parkinson came to Florida in 2000 and worked for Palm Beach County as Substance Licensing Specialist with the Florida Department of Children and Family Services, he has been responsible for licensing and regulating over 150 treatment programs in South Florida. Robert is certified in Anger Management, Relapse Prevention and Rapid Trauma Therapy and several months ago he started a foundation that helps veterans and their families. He served in United States Army and he was recently awarded a medal for accommodation for his actions in a rescue mission he took part in while serving in the Army.

Jessica Bodine

Adminstrative Assistant

Jessica has over 10 years in the clinical and medical field. As the newest member to Transformations Recovery, her knowledge of computers and medical background make her a wonderful asset to our team. Jessica has a friendly demeanor and a compassion to help new and existing clients. Ms. Bodine is the friendly face you see when you walk through our doors and the kind voice you hear when you call our office.
